The first day of school is almost here, and we can't wait to welcome our newest Rebels! Join us for a special Kindergarten Meet & Greet where incoming kindergarten students and their families can meet their future classmates, get acquainted with our kindergarten teachers, and become familiar with the Cherokee Elementary campus before the first day of school. The event will take place on Monday, July 13, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Cherokee Elementary School playground area. Families can enjoy a variety of fun activities, including a bounce house, story time with Mrs. Susan from the Ash Flat Library, popcorn and popsicles, playground fun, and a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends and our kindergarten teachers. We've had a fantastic week traveling across the district and providing free meals for children from birth to 18 years of age through our Seamless Summer Feeding Program!

We have been thrilled by the tremendous turnout and want to thank everyone for their participation and patience as we continue serving a large number of families each day.

Just a reminder that we have added a Friday meal pickup location this summer. Meals may be picked up each Friday in June from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Highland High School.

Please use the side cafeteria entrance, and park in the student parking lot located east of the cafeteria entrance.

ATLAS assessment scores are continually being released, and the Highland School District is sending home information to help parents access their child’s results through the parent portal.

An informational sheet with instructions on how to log in and view assessment scores has been sent home with students in grades K–10.
